Humanitarian Service Activities

Our hard working Humanitarian Services Committee continues helping school children and senior citizens with sight and hearing exams and obtaining eye glasses and hearing aids.

The committee makes regular pick ups of used eye glasses. Donate used eyeglasses at numerous locations all over Arlington Heights, or call Lion Dave Aldrich, 8 4 7 - 2 5 3 - 0 0 8 5 .

We have participated in Wheeling Township's and Elk Grove Village Township's Adopt-a-Family program during the 2006 Christmas holiday season. In addition, we donated to the Village of Arlington Heights' emergency assistance program in 2006.

New Members Wanted!
Our club, founded in 1925, is dwindling. Once at nearly 150 members, we now have about 40. Many are getting up in their years, and NEW blood is need to carry on the mission of Lionism in Arlington Heights.

Are you a service minded individual, willing to work long hours for no pay but MASSIVE rewards? If so, The Lions Club of Arlington Heights is for you. Get as involved as you want: some members like service projects; some like fund raising; some like the social activities, general meetings, and the District convention; some like to pay their membership every 6 months and read the monthly newsletter. There is something for everyone!

Call Lion Marianne Bailey (8 4 7 - 5 5 0 - 9 4 6 3) for more details. Come to a meeting, no invitation is necessary (but it helps to let us know you are coming).

Try us for a year, leave if it isn't for you, or stay and reap the rewards.

We're Lions, We're Lions,
As proud as we can be,
We're Lions, we're Lions
Until eternity
We're Lions, we're Lions
